What information do we collect?
We only collect information from application forms completed by potential grantees or, from the referees provided to us by them.
Our lawful basis for processing this information is based on the legitimate interests of grantees and potential grantees.
How is information kept safe?
The safety of personal information has always been and continues to be most important to us. We continually review our procedures to ensure that information is secure within our organisation and we comply with all the current legislation. We will always ensure that details are kept private and safe.
What do we do with the information?
Our trustees use the information to assess our potential grantee’s financial position and to decide whether they come within the scope of our grant making. They also follow up references provided by the applicant in support of their application.
Should an application prove successful we will use appropriate parts of the information provided to contact grantees and make payments of grants to them.
We will never pass on information to any other organisation, without permission, unless we are obliged by law so to do.
How long will we keep information?
We will retain personal data whilst individuals are grantees and for such time as we may be required under law, should they cease to be a grantee.
Access to information and correction
All our grantees have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about them. We are always happy to provide this to them. This can be requested in writing, by post or by emailing the Secretary at the address shown in the ‘contact us’ section.
Grantees may ask us to correct or remove information that they think is inaccurate.
